Taşköprü district of Kastamonu province, which has hosted many civilizations throughout history, attracts attention with its social facilities and historical places.

These lands, which are the settlement areas of many different groups, from gasgi, to the Ethics, from Dorites to Cimmerians and Lydians, have been under the last Ottoman rule. The mound of Pompeiopolis on the Zımbıllı hill of the district is one of the most remarkable places.
The Pompeiopolis mound is home to the palace, the temple, and houses of the elders of the time. The historical artifacts of the excavations in the region are presented to the visitors in the Kastamonu Museum.

The café and patisserie-style spaces in and around many historical places are also built in accordance with the historical fabric of the region. The hotels and restaurants located near Taşköprü, which gives a name to the district and witnessed a long history, are located at the focal point of the visitors.
