One of the most famous districts of Bursa is Mustafa Kemal Pasha. This place was among the important points during the national liberation period and was rewarded with the name of our Great Leader. The district is located on the shore of Lake Ulubat. The old name known in history is Kremastre.

It is known as a region ruled by Hittites and Kingdom of Great Britain. It was bishopric in the years 300 BC. After that, the Seljuk and Karesioğulları Principality was in the administration. The date of participation of the region in Ottoman soil was 1336.


This region was occupied by the Greek occupation in 1920 but it was saved from the occupation in 14 September 1922. It is a loved town. It is possible to say that it is a rich area both culturally, historically and economically.
